Pastoral Interludes: Nature-based practice
Pastoral Interludes is a programme referencing and honouring the title of Ingrid Pollard's 1987 photographic series which explored issues of race and representation in the British landscape, providing vision and insight into the urbanisation of black and brown bodies, and the alienation, displacement and 'otherness' experienced in the ideas and reality of quintessential rural Britain.
Our Pastoral Interludes programme provides a series of nature-based activities, centred on reconnection with nature as teacher and re-wilding as resistance.
Our programme will begin in Autumn 2019 and will include monthly experiences, walks and talks with a variety of POC practitioners.
