We Are Nature
A programme of fun nature based activities and interventions, referencing Ingrid Pollard's 1987 photographic series Pastoral Interlude which explored issues of race and representation in the British landscape, giving vision and insight into the urbanisation of black and brown bodies, and the alienation, displacement and 'otherness' experienced in the imagination of quintessential rurality in Britain. Our programme explores these themes, through a calendar of nature-based activities, centred on reconnection with nature as teacher and re-wilding as resistance. Our programme will begin in January 2020 and will include monthly experiences, walks and talks with a variety of POC practitioners. watch this space. email aisha@everyvoice.org.uk to stay tuned |
