Thursday 26th April 2018 Hosted by Islington Stand Up to Racism and Islington Unison The Windrush scandal has shown the racism at the heart of this government's immigration policies. People have been threatened with deportation after being here for decades or generations, contributing to this country. African and Caribbean men and women in this country have built the NHS and worked hard against all odds and racism to develop public services and progress business and communities across the UK . Theresa May has apologised for the way the policy has been implemented, but it is the policy that is the problem. We call for a full amnesty and compensation for all of those affected. Join Islington standing in solidarity for the Windrush Generation tomorrow. Thursday 26th April 1pm-2pm Islington Town Hall, Upper St, London N1 2UD Windrush 70 years on
